Time in industry (and a rather unique one at that) has been a whirlwind experience filled with added perspectives, distorted sense of normalcy, and unexpected ways of personal growth.
Here, I hope to provide some insights into my experience in a very fast-paced and unfamiliar work environment. Although the field is still applied physics, in the strictest sense, it’s not something I ever expected myself to be working in. It is my goal to help others realize that industry isn’t such a scary word and that graduate school can prepare you with many transferable skills into “the real world” (i.e. the one outside of the academic bubble).
